Who We Are
The Webinar Initiative in Islamic Material Culture is a joint initiave of Universität Bonn (Bethany Walker), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (Andreas Kaplony), the NYU in New York (Abigail Balbale), and Universität Hamburg (Stefan Heidemann) who are co-operating in setting up a series of webinars in Archaeology of the Middle East, Arabic Papyrology, Islamic Arts and Material Culture, and Numismatics of the Middle East.
We can look back on many years of experience in giving webclasses. The origin of the Webinar Initivative in Islamic Material Culture lies in Andreas Kaplony's "Arabic Papyrology Webclass".
