The International Symposium "I ♥ PERSIAN STUCCO - Lectures and Practical Workshop" will provide an interdisciplinary discussion of Iranian Medieval Stucco from numerous perspectives: Archaeometry, Cultural Heritage Preservation, Art History, Archaeology, Restoration and Artistic Techniques of Medieval Iranian Stucco. The symposium will take place April 10-12, 2018 at the University of Bamberg in the KDWT am Zwinger 6 (Address: Am Zwinger 4-6 96047 Bamberg), in the Laboratory 0.0.4 and the Hall 1.1.4, from April 10 to April 12, 2018.
The symposium will consist of a practical workshop (divided in four parts) in which the participants will produce a carved stucco panel. The Practical Workshop will be accompanied by evening lectures addressing questions of Stucco Revetment Research. The working language of the symposium is English. The attendance of the symposium is free of charge, but the attendees should cover their travel and accommodation expenses. Modest donations to cover material expenses for the Practical Workshop are welcome.
